The Gyeonggido Dance Company is a representative arts organization of Gyeonggi-do established with an aim to promote the beauty of Korean dance to the world. Since its foundation in 1993, the organization has presented more than 100 performances each year, including court dances and songs, traditional dances, and creative dances.

The Saturday Show is a special stage where you can enjoy the most famous works of the Gyeonggido Dance Company in one place. This performance, which resumed in 2023 after a four-year hiatus, welcomes audiences with a new and original theme each year. In 2024, under the broad theme of “Dancing Cultural Heritage,” the company presented a variety of works with subtitles such as Painting Spring with Dance, Dancing to Gyeonggi Music, and Moonlight and Play, each with a different theme.

The performance covers a wide repertoire, from the traditional dance of Han Young-sook’s Taepyeongmu to the dynamic samulnori and the dodanggut with a modern twist. In addition to the passionate performances of the young members, the collaboration with local arts organizations such as the Gyeonggi Sinawi Dance Preservation Society and the Gwangmyeong Farmers’ Music Preservation Society brings new excitement to each performance.
