Gyeongui Line Forest Park is a linear city park located in Mapo-gu and is also called Yeontral Park. It includes Daeheung-dong, Yeonnam-dong, Saechanggogae Pass, Changjeon-dong, Sinsu-dong, and Wonhyo-ro, which were opened in this order. Gyeongui Line Forest Park is established atop the Gyeongui railroad line and the Gyeongui Line and Airport Railroad Express are constructed as a double track underground. Gyeongui Line Forest Park was designed to be incomplete on purpose to invite the citizens in completing the park. The area which could have been left empty and neglected has turned into a meaningful green park for the citizens by the citizens.

Tuk Tuk Noodle Thai was selected for the Michelin Guide Seoul 2023, and the chef is Thai. They offer signature dishes such as Fried soft shell crab with curry powder, Phat Thai, Tom Yam Kung, and galbi noodles, as well as seasonal dishes using various ingredients. Made with Thai ingredients, their dishes have unique Thai flavors. It is close to the Hongik Univ. Station, attracting numerous patrons.

Yeonnam-dong, located near Hongik University Station, has become a hot spot in Seoul as young artists and hipsters gather. It is densely packed with art spaces, and every alley is filled with unique concept cafés and many restaurants. There are also many guesthouses, editorial shops, and fashion stores, along with Yeontral Park, which was transformed from the old Gyeongui Line railroad into a park.

Soi Yeonnam is a rice noodle specialty restaurant where you can experience the atmosphere of Thailand. The signature dish is the flavorful and rich sogogi ssalguksu (beef noodle soup). Other popular dishes include soi popia (spring roll), which is fried with shrimp, pork, mushrooms, tom yam ssalguksu (tom yum noodle), and som tam (green papaya salad). It’s so famous that people line up to eat there, and it’s beloved by both locals and tourists alike.

Located near Hongik Univ. Station, Manjok Ohyang Jokbal is said to be one of the top three jokbal (braised pigs’ feet) restaurants in Seoul. Their signature dishes are manjog ohyang jokbal (braised five-spice pigs’ feet), jokbal and jaengban guksu (jumbo sized buckwheat noodles) set menu. Manjok ohyang jokbal is made with pigs’ feet marinated in five different sauce flavors, giving it a chewy texture and rich flavor. Bul jokbal (spicy braised pigs’ feet) is a popular dish that can be paired with bossam (kimchi cabbage wraps with pork) or jokbal as a half and half set menu.
