Songtan Special Tourist Zone, developed around a U.S. military base, is a shopping and cultural street often compared to the small alleys of Itaewon and colloquially known as “Little Itaewon.” The area is divided into two main districts. The Sinjang District, located near the U.S. military base, is characterized by a diverse array of shops and restaurants. This market arose naturally in 1958 when a US military base was established nearby, and merchants and clients who directly exchanged agricultural products flocked to the market. Because it was a market for US troops stationed in Korea, there were many hobby shops, fashion accessories, and international restaurants, giving it an exotic ambience, unlike other traditional marketplaces. The street is lined with unique restaurants and general stores from Mexico, Brazil, Thailand, Japan, and other countries. It is a market containing a range of groceries, apparel, and general merchandise. Budaejjigae, which was created around the time of war using food waste from United States Forces Korea bases, handcrafted burgers that will satisfy people from all over the world, and Chicago pizza are all famous delicacies.

Pyeongtaek Haejang Wang is a haejangguk (hangover soup) specialty restaurant that opened in 1992. Its signature menu is naejangtang (offal soup), prepared by boiling beef intestines with bean sprouts. In addition to that, they offer seonjiguk (seonji soup), ppyeo haejangguk (pork backbone hangover soup), and gopchang jeongol (small intestine hot pot). They prepare their broth by boiling ox bones for twenty-four hours in a cauldron. This restaurant is a favorite among tourists and local residents, often bustling with customers waiting for a table.
